Watch DOGS

Pizza with Dad & Watch D.O.G.S. at CES, Aug. 23, 6-7 P.M.

CES is going to the D.O.G.S.!

Calling students and their dads, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures to join us on Wednesday, August 23 for Pizza with Dad and an opportunity to learn about Watch D.O.G.S.! Join us from 6-7 p.m. in the cafeteria and patio for dinner.

Last year we had a great time at this wonderful event. Hundreds of kids and dads came together for hot pizza and some quality family time.

After dinner, kids can play on the playground while CES Parents and D.O.G.S. Zach Burkett and Steve Kiziuk introduce the program to parents. Watch D.O.G.S. is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center For Fathering, which brings more male role models into schools by asking men to volunteer to be in school for one full day during the year.

The Watch D.O.G.S. initiative has two primary goals:

  1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
  2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

The program at CES is off to an amazing start! Last year more than 80 men committed to spend their time as CES WatchDOG volunteers — we know we can top that this year! If you’re interested in volunteering your time to become a WatchDOG, email corralespta@corralespta.com.
